Gwen Stefani appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her new single “Make Me Like You,” her live Grammys debut of the video and her new album. But of course, DeGeneres snuck in some questions about Stefani’s boyfriend Blake Shelton.

After talking about how well the live video turned out, DeGeneres quickly switched gears to Stefani's The Voice co-star.

DeGeneres joked about Shelton asking her to be his mentor on this season of their hit NBC show, nonchalantly saying “so when he popped the big question…how did he do that?”

"I want to be on that show as much as possible," Stefani replied, having a difficult time keeping from laughing. "It's just...I got so much out of it."This gave DeGeneres more ammo to joke about Shelton, saying, "You did!"

"You're so good! You're so good at your job,” Stefani laughed.

Stefani admitted “Make Me Like You” is about Shelton during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month.
