Instead of becoming Nannygate 2.0, Eva Amurri Martino and her husband have fired their nanny after she crossed the line.
In a post on her lifestyle blog, Amurri Martino explains that her nanny sent her husband inappropriate text messages while she was away on business in New York City. Kyle Martino, a soccer player turned TV host, fired the nanny after the flirty texts.
Amurri Martino called the situation a "traumatic and bizarre experience and extremely inconvenient."
The pair, who are parents to Marlowe Mae, 18 months, announced Amurri Martino had a miscarriage in August 2015.
Despite the drama, Susan Sarandon's daughter revealed the nanny situation "brought us even closer (emotionally and geographically) than we would have been otherwise."
"It also made me grateful for my strong relationship with my husband," Amurri Martino said. "I know that this happens all the time with different results. The rumors of this type of thing are all over the tabloids all the time."
The blogger and NBC Sports broadcaster have been married since 2011.
