Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader is no stranger to comedy collaborations, having recently starred opposite Amy Schumer in last summer's Trainwreck. For his upcoming HBO pilot about a hitman, Hader has recently recruited a new partner in comedy crime: none other than the former Fonz himself, actor Henry Winkler.
On Feb. 18, Entertainment Weekly reported that Winkler would be joining the cast of Barry, the upcoming half-hour pilot. He's set to play the character of Gene Cousineau, an acting teacher who inspires Hader's ex-Marine-turned-hitman upon his move to Los Angeles. As we previously reported, in addition to starring, Hader will also write and direct the pilot.
Earlier this month, Hader signed on to star alongside Zach Galifanakis and Seth Rogen in the upcoming space comedy movie The Something. Winkler recently told CantonRep that his other upcoming projects include filming the eighth season of Cartoon Network's Children's Hospital this summer, as well as a made for TV movie based on a series of children's novels he's written.
