Jenna Elfman is once again going to star in a pilot. The Dharma & Greg star has signed on for an ABC comedy that involves an imaginary friend.
The pilot is an ambitious mix of live action and computer-generated animation, with a bachelorette (Elfman) finally meeting the love of her life, a divorced man with three children. Unfortunately, her imaginary friend from childhood shows up at the same time.
According to TVLine, the rest of the cast includes Stephen Schneider (You’re The Worst), Nicholas Coombe (iZombie), Matreya Scarrwener and Erica Tremblay.
The pilot, which is currently untitled, will be executive produced by The Goldbergs team Adam F. Goldberg and David Guarascio. Shawn Levy is directing the pilot, which will include CGI done by Disney’s Patrick Osborne, notes The Hollywood Reporter. The pilot comes from Sony Pictures TV.
Elfman is best known for the 1997-2002 series Dharma & Greg, but her recent shows haven’t lasted beyond a first season. These shows include Courting Alex, accidentally on Purpose, 1600 Penn and Growing Up Fisher.
