Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman and Kate McKinnon have signed on to a new comedy about an office Christmas party gone wrong.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, all three actors will star in Office Christmas Party, which is being produced by DreamWorks Pictures. T.J. Miller (Deadpool) will also play a role in this new ensemble film, which will begin filming in Atlanta this spring. The logline simply reveals that the film revolves around a Christmas party gone awry.
Will Speck and Josh Gordon (Blades of Glory) will direct Office Christmas Party after pitching the film back in 2010. The current incarnation of the screenplay was written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, both of whom worked on The Office, as well as Laura Solon (Hot In Cleveland).
This will reunite Aniston and Bateman after the two comedians starred opposite one another in Horrible Bosses and Horrible Bosses 2. Both films did well at the box office, although the sequel was significantly less profitable, according to Box Office Mojo. This casting is also great news for Kate McKinnon fans; the Saturday Night Live star is looking to have a big 2016, with lead roles in The Angry Birds Movie, Ghostbusters and now Office Christmas Party.
Office Christmas Party will hit theaters on Dec. 9.
