Comedian and former Community star Joel McHale could be coming back to television. He has signed on to star in a CBS comedy pilot that will be built on jokes about how he’s too old to understand kids these days.

The pilot is called The Great Outdoors, which is also the name of the in-show magazine McHale’s character (named Joel, conveniently). According to Entertainment Weekly, the plot finds McHale as an adventure reporter who needs to adapt to a workplace dominated by millennials in the magazine’s digital department. McHale’s character has a “sardonic sense of humor” that clashes with his much younger colleagues.

The Great Outdoors comes from Mike Gibbons, a Tosh.0 writer.

McHale starred on Community, which somehow made it to six seasons. The final season of the show was put up on Yahoo Screen last year and was among the original programs that cost Yahoo millions. (Yahoo eventually shut down Yahoo Screen.)

McHale also hosted E! Network’s The Soup, which just came to an end. You can read our 2014 interview with McHale right here.
