Lady Gaga is becoming the go-to artist for awards show tributes. The singer has been picked to lead the David Bowie tribute during the Grammys later this month.

The Recording Academy said that producer Nile Rodgers, who worked on Bowie’s 1983 hit “Let’s Dance,” will be the musical director for the tribute.

Grammys executive producer Kan Ehrlich said that Gaga was going to perform at this year’s Grammys anyway. However, after Bowie died on Jan. 10, they decided to go in a different direction for Gaga’s segment.

“We immediately spoke and agreed that she should be the one to honor David. She's perfect for it,” Ehrlich said in a statement. “So I reached out to Nile and, before long, we were on our way to creating what we believe will not only make a great GRAMMY Moment, but one befitting of David.”

Gaga is also nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Til It Happens To You,” the song she co-wrote with Diane Warren for the documentary The Hunting Ground. Gaga is also up for an Oscar for the song. She will perform at the Oscars.

She previously performed at the Oscars for a Sound of Music tribute, so it looks like awards show producers enjoy having her on the stage.

LL Cool J is hosting and you can see the list of performers here. The Grammys are on Monday, Feb. 15 on CBS.
