This week on Lucifer, the Devil does his best to seduce Chloe while they work on a case to find a missing girl.

As Chloe gets out of the shower, she hears someone in her house. She puts on a towel and grabs her gun. Lucifer surprises her in the kitchen and she accidentally drops her towel. She quickly picks it up and reprimands him for breaking into her house.

As Chloe tries to shoo Lucifer out the door, her ex, Dan, and daughter enter. Dan asks if she and Lucifer are sleeping together. She denies it, but he doesn’t believe her.

Dan tells Chloe there’s a case with a missing girl, Lindsey, who disappeared catering a Player’s Club event. The Player’s Club is run by a guru who teaches geeks how to get girls. Lindsey was last seen talking to the head of the club, Carver. Dan tells Chloe that Lucifer is on the guest list for the next event and he wants Chloe to go as Lucifer’s plus one, undercover.

Lucifer goes to his therapist’s office to blurt his troubles, but she’s in session with a client. After the client leaves, Lucifer talks to the doctor about not having power over Chloe. She tells him he has to take his power back. She says he needs to get to know Chloe really well, to take her off the pedestal. He says it’s obvious he needs to sleep with her.

Lucifer tells Chloe that he plans on sleeping with her. She tells him it’s never going to happen. They arrive at the event. Lindsey’s brother is screaming for Carver. Security tries to throw him out, but Lucifer tells them he’ll handle it. Lindsey’s brother tells them that he believes Carver killed her. They assure him that they’ll handle it.

Carver revvs up the guests and tells them how to be players, step by step. Lucifer stands up and says he has all the “manly whatnots” listed, but still Chloe won’t sleep with him. He asks for a spotlight and says she’s a cop, at the shallow end of the dating pool. When Carver hears she’s a cop, he asks security to throw them out.

Chloe apologizes to her Lieutenant and tells her she’ll figure out a way into the after-party. The party is supposed to be at an expensive bar. Chloe gets Lucifer to underbid that bar, in effect moving the party to his own club.

Maze senses Amenadiel in the empty club. He wants her to help him get Lucifer back to hell. They fight and he pins her to the wall. She tries to seduce him by licking his cheek. He tries to convince her that she should worry about Lucifer’s changes. She tells him it’s a phase.

Chloe comes to Lucifer’s apartment. When she turns around, she finds him standing naked. He says after the previous morning, he thought he would reciprocate. She hands him his clothes. He can’t believe she’s turning him down and does a slow spin. She notices scars on his back. He tells her it’s where he had Maze cut off his wings. She tries to touch the scars, but he stops her hand and heads off to get dressed.

At the after-party, Chloe wants to get information from someone who was at the party Lindsey catered. She allows herself to get hit on so she can ask the men if they were there. Carver spots them, taking off and pulling a gun. Lucifer distracts Carver while Chloe cuffs him. Carver tells them Lindsey’s kidnappers will kill her now.

Carver tells Chloe the kidnappers said they would kill her if he went to the police. He’s in love with her. The kidnappers knew the police were at the event and sent him a threat.

Lucifer calls the kidnapper from Carver’s phone. He asks them for a time and location to drop off the money. He makes Carver stay home.

While in the car, Chloe questions Lucifer about being the devil. She asks what it feels like if he gets shot. He flicks her. He asks if she believes him. She says she doesn’t believe in fiery damnation. He asks if he scares her. She says no.

They see Carver go into the kidnapper’s building. Lucifer enters the door after him and locks Chloe out. Chloe calls for a SWAT team. Carver tells Lucifer that the kidnappers said if he didn’t come for Lindsey, the deal is off.

The kidnapper asks for the money. After he gets it, he refuses to give them Lindsey. Carver pulls a gun. Chloe has broken into the building and hears a gun shot. Lindsey shot Carver from behind. She kidnapped herself with the help of her brother.

Lindsey tells Carver she met him years ago in a library. He took her virginity as research for his book and then left. When she reappeared, he didn’t remember her name. He apologizes and says he’s different now. Lucifer tries to diffuse the situation, but Lindsey’s brother tells her to shoot him.

Lucifer shows his devil face to Lindsey and she screams. Chloe appears and sees his true reflection, asking him what he is. He tries to convince her he’s the devil and tells her to shoot him for proof. When she does, he bleeds and feels pain. Chloe feels terrible and Lucifer fears what’s happening to him.

The police arrive. Lucifer tells the Lieutenant that Chloe saved the day and he was caught in the crossfire. Chloe thanks him and offers to drive him home.

When Chloe gets home, her daughter notices blood on her shirt. Chloe tells her that she accidentally shot Lucifer. Her daughter tells her that if the boy who throws things at her likes her, then Chloe must really like Lucifer if she shot him.

Lucifer tells Maze about his bleeding. He’s excited about what it means. Maze tries to convince him to go home, but he refuses.
