Paget Brewster making return to ‘Criminal Minds’

Emily Prentiss is coming back! Paget Brewster will be returning to Criminal Minds in an episode this spring.

Brewster announced the news on Twitter on Feb. 10. “Dusting off my boots and badge to run ‘n gun with my pals one more time,” she wrote.

CBS said that she will only be back for one episode. Prentiss is now an Interpol agent and helps her former BAU team to stop a serial killer since she thinks the killer is back in the U.S.

Brewster joined Criminal Minds in season two and left during season seven. However, she did make an appearance on the show’s 200th episode in 2014.

Since leaving the show, Brewster has tried to return to her comedy roots, appearing in Comedy Central’s Drunk History and Another Period, plus the final season of Community. She currently stars in Fox’s Grandfathered with John Stamos.

Criminal Minds is now in its 11th season and new episodes air on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. Read our latest Criminal Minds recap here!
