CBS has officially found their new Nancy Drew.

According to TVLine, Sarah Shahi is set to play the famous detective in a new show based on Carolyn Keene’s novels. Shahi is known for her role as Sameen Shaw in Person of Interest and will appear as a series regular in the fifth season.

The new CBS drama, which has only received a pilot order so far, will follow Nancy working for the NYPD.

CBS President Glenn Geller recently opened up about the search for the perfect Nancy Drew.

“I’d be open to any ethnicity,” Geller said. “We’re not casting color-blind, we’re casting color-conscious. It’s not ‘the best actor wins,’ it’s the right roles for diversity. It really is about being conscious of what America looks like.”

Shahi is the latest actor to be cast in the new CBS show. Anthony Edwards is set to play Nancy’s dad, Carson Drew, Vanessa Ferlito is set to play a fellow NYPD detective and Felix Solis will be Nancy’s boss.
