It was another rough week for the Gallaghers on Shameless as Ian's relationship with Caleb becomes more serious, Lip has to appear in front of a disciplinary committee, Debbie finds out the sex of her baby, Fiona attempts to save the house and Carl loses his best friend.
After his crazy ex-girlfriend exposes a nude picture of Helene that went viral on the internet, Lip is asked to appear at a disciplinary committee to talk about his encounters with his professor. Of course he tries to find Helene and speak to her before the hearing, but she continues to walk away and completely ignores him.
At the hearing Lip explains his first sexual encounter with Helene--how it was consensual and that he isn't a victim in any way. Helene, however, tells them that any form of communication the two had is cut off and that she has terminated any relationship they had, to which Lip tells the board that they're in love.
Again Lip follows Helene to her car, and she then tells him not to follow her, text her, come to her home, near her husband, son or herself because things are already ugly enough.
Fiona breaks into their former home to get the door that has all the kids' heights on it from when they were growing and runs into the new owner, who wants to drop his offer due to the amount of damage he found in the home.
Fiona finally gets an abortion and tries to buy back the house which she would need Gus' signature for. After standing Fiona up at The Alibi, Gus shows up at Patsy's, where he dumps a cup of coffee onto the papers because he won't sign a paper for Fiona to get what she wants. This is because he wanted to know where the paper is that would get him what he wanted, "a wife who wasn't a lying sack of shit," so now he wants an explanation. After Fiona couldn't give him one, he refused to sign the paper because that would be him doing her a "favor" and he only does favors for friends (which they're not), and without his signature she can't buy back the house because she can't get a loan.
Kev and V attempt to get their bar back by making a sign excluding all hipsters and only serving working class citizens. After a hipster sneaks in, Kev and V decide to keep them out and charge them a $20 cover and only let four in every hour. To make sure everything works swimmingly, they even have one of the refugees working as a bouncer at the door.
Ian has the most awkward date when he goes out with Caleb and can barely speak because he doesn't know how to date. He blames his horrible social skills on being from the "South Side." Luckily Caleb has to leave the date to go on a firefighter call and brings him along, and the two end up back at Caleb's, where they have their first kiss.
Frank finds out from her doctor that Erica is in remission, meaning that the family will no longer need Debbie around to help out once Erica finds out she's no longer sick. He then tells Debbie that the only way for her to continue living there is if she comes onto Erica.
Frank also finds Chucky, who has been living under the old Gallagher home front porch for the past two weeks and is finally picked up by his grandmother who awkwardly has sex with Frank in front of Chucky.
Erica and Debbie have been getting closer. Erica enjoys her company so much that she offers to throw Debbie a gender reveal party at the house because she wants to meet the rest of her family. Sadly, Frank, Carl and Nick are the only ones who attend to find out that Debbie is having a girl.
Carl buys Nick a retired police car despite the fact that he doesn't have a license. and while driving to Debbie's gender reveal party he sees the little boy who stole his bike and follows him but then drives away. Mid-party Nick runs out and takes the car, and Carl follows him on skateboard. However, Carl is too late when he walks up to the scene of the crime to see a guilty Nick on the front porch of the little boy's house with a bloody hammer and his bike, while the boy's mother is screaming inside.
Carl leaves before the cops come and goes to dig up money he buried to give to Fiona to use to buy back their house.
