It’s Mardi Gras time on NCIS: New Orleans. What should be a night to celebrate and have fun turns into a nightmare when both Mayor Doug Hamilton and the beloved Dwayne Pride are kidnapped during their respective parties. At first, nothing appears out of place until the NCIS team gets a call about a murder at the motel where the mayor is having his party.
When they are unable to contact Pride, Brody goes to search for him while the rest of the team heads over to the hotel. As they look over the body of a member of security, who had been a corporal named Jason Alex, Chris gets the news about both Pride and the mayor. It then becomes a race to figure out what happened to them and who would take them.
Meanwhile, Pride and Hamilton are at the mercy of a man who neither of them recognizes, who is also recording them by video. But as the distraught man eventually tells his tale in an effort to get justice for his deceased wife, Pride tries to get Hamilton to talk so they will both be able to leave alive.
This was an amazing episode, showing how the team worked quickly to find their missing boss and solve the case. While tense because of the kidnapping, there were funny moments, like when Chris tries to remind the mayor’s people their lives are more important than PR. After another great episode, check out the key moments and parts of the case in “Father’s Day.”
