Vanessa Hudgens, who just starred in Fox’s live Grease broadcast, is building on that momentum by joining NBC’s Powerless, a sitcom set in the DC Comics universe.

Powerless was created by Ben Queen (A To Z, Cars 2) and tells the story of insurance company workers who are a bit frustrated by the increasingly common activities of superheroes. Major DC heroes like Batman and Superman will likely not appear in the series.

TVLine reports that Hudgens will star as claims adjuster Emily Locke, who just really loves her job. However, these superheroes can be a bit annoying.

While Hudgens shot to fame on the Disney Channel’s High School Musical franchise, Powerless will surprisingly be her first full-time TV job. Her other credits include Spring Breakers, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Machete Kills.

In Grease Live!, Hudgens played Rizzo. The show was a big hit for Fox, earning 12.2 million viewers.
