Family Feud host Steve Harvey recently teased the worst answer in the show's history, and the clip has now officially been made available.
In the video posted to the Family Feud YouTube channel, Harvey asks for another way to say mother. "Mom" and "Mama" go up on the board, but when Harvey moves to a contestant named Sheila, she continues to repeat answers that have already been said. The clip goes on for seven straight minutes as Harvey loses his mind and Sheila keeps saying identical responses.
Harvey discussed this clip recently in an interview with The Huffington Post, describing it as an incredible TV moment, as we previously reported.
“A woman answered a question and it took 25 minutes for her to answer,” he said. “The producers were mortified…They’re going to edit it down to fit into the show, but in actual time, this woman took 25 minutes to answer the question because she kept saying the same thing over and over.”
The clip posted online appears to be the full, unedited version, so Harvey was probably just exaggerating when he said it took 25 minutes. In the broadcast, this moment will of course be edited down, considering this clip alone is about one third the length of an entire Family Feud episode.
