In one of those cringe-worthy moments on air, Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie asked Penelope Cruz about one of her body parts being “ugly,” and the actress seemed a bit stunned.
During their chat on Feb. 10, Guthrie asked Cruz about saying in the past that she has “ugly feet,” but Cruz denied saying it.
“I think you said it, despite what you look like, you have ugly feet," Guthrie said, to which a wide-eyed Cruz replied, "No, no, no, no. I haven't said that. I'm OK. I'm OK with my feet."
Guthrie tried to recover, saying she must have talked about her feet before because she used to be a dancer. Cruz then explained that, as a dancer, “you lose your toenails” and "you get used to throwing them away. You don't even feel them anymore.”
“That’s what I meant,” she said, adding, “I’m OK with my feet. I think they’re normal.”
