Easily the most memorable moment of X-Men: Days of Future Past was the incredible slow-motion Quicksilver sequence, and Apocalypse will feature a similar set-piece that took a tremendous amount of time to accomplish.

In a post on his Instagram page, X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer revealed that the upcoming film contains a three-minute Quicksilver scene that took one and a half months to film. That means that Evan Peters worked on the movie longer than any other actor, even longer than the top-billed stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender.

In Days of Future Past, an impressive slow-motion sequence showed us what the world looks like from Quicksilver's perspective. Apocalypse will feature a similar moment, except this time it will be even more extensive.

"Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It’s bigger, longer and more detailed," Peters told Collider. "I think it’s an amazing sequence that they’ve put together...It’s so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work."

X-Men Apocalypse stars Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Peters. It will be released on May 27.
