Jerry Seinfeld has just become even more rich than he already was after he auctioned off 17 cars and received over $22 million for them. Seinfeld sold 15 Porsches and two Volkswagens on March 11 at the Gooding & Co. auction house and he raked in $22,244,500.

LA Times reports there was a bidding war for his 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder and it ended up selling for over $5 million alone.

Seinfeld made an appearance at the auction, which might’ve helped him sell all but one car – his Carrera GT concept car, which is one of two made.

TMZ reports Seinfeld made shy of the $28 million he was predicted to make by selling his rare Porsches and Volkswagens, but he still made a killing.

Last month he said of auctioning off his cars, "The reason I wanted to bid these cars farewell in this way is really just to see the look of excitement on the faces of the next owners who I know will be out of their minds with joy that they are going to get to experience them.”

Honored to have had Jerry Seinfeld on our Amelia Island Auction stage introducing 18 selections from his remarkable collection! #GCoFL
