What’s Of Kings and Prophets you say? Apparently it was an ABC swords-and-sandals drama and it has failed spectacularly, getting cancelled after just two episodes.

Both episodes earned terrible ratings in the Tuesday 10 p.m. timeslot. As TVLine notes, the show’s second episode earned just 2.4 million viewers, a 27 percent drop from its already low-rated debut. The second episode had just a 0.5 18-49 rating.

The Game of Thrones ripoff almost never made it to air. It was supposed to debut as a regular fall show on Sundays at 10 p.m. ABC nixed that idea, obviously sensing a flop in the making, and moved the successful Quantico to the Sunday 10 p.m. slot. (Quantico has been a success, earning a second season.)

Of Gods and Prophets wasn’t the first show cancelled by ABC this season after just two episodes. In November, Wicked City was dropped after a second low-rated episode. ABC later posted the un-aired episodes of Wicket City on Hulu, so there’s a chance that Of Gods and Prophets’ few fans could end up seeing the remaining episodes online.
