ABC might be under new management, but that doesn’t mean that the Disney-owned network won’t feature many of its familiar shows. Indeed, on March 3, the network renewed a whopping 15 shows for the 2016-2017 TV season.
Earlier in the day, Once Upon A Time was picked up for season six, Fresh Off The Boat for season three and Quantico for season two. Even after the full list of renewals came in, Quantico remained the only freshman series from this season to get renewed. Yes, that means we still have no confirmation on what’s going to happen to The Muppets.
“We’re very proud of our strong roster of performers, and we’re excited about what they will bring us creatively next season,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement.
Dungey was named ABC Entertainment president on Feb. 17 after Paul Lee was pushed to resign. Strangely enough, many of the shows Lee brought to the network’s schedule were renewed.
