Adele made a terminally ill fan’s dream come true on Monday, Feb. 29 by visiting her in Belfast, Northern Ireland ahead of her concert there. The “When We Were Young” singer made 12-year-old Rebecca Gibney’s dreams come true by sitting at her bedside and chatting with her family.

Gibney’s mother, Tracy, told Belfast Live, “I cannot put it into words what it means."

Doctors told Gibney she had six months to live last year, and she has listened to Adele’s music to get her through this difficult time.

"It is unbelievable her dream has come true,” said Tracy. “Adele was just so nice.” The proud mom also said she is still in “shock” that Adele actually came to their home.

Tracy also spoke to BBC about the visit, sharing a sweet compliment Adele paid her during the visit.

“I do know that when Rebecca passes away she did get her dream come true," she said. "It's made me feel like I'm the best mummy in the world which I never felt. Adele told me I was the best mummy in the world too."
