Amber Rose had a lot to say last week in supporting Kim Kardashian in the wake of the reality star posting a nude selfie that garnered a lot of attention. Rose spoke more about the topic in an interview this week.
The Daily Beast spoke with Rose at SXSW while she was at the event to promote a 3D character known as “MUVA,” which is part of an app called Zoobe. The app would allow fans to create a digital version of Rose as an avatar for social media.
She also clarified the so-called feud with Kardashian, saying that while they would likely never be “the best of friends,” they accept each other as they are and the “beef” they apparently had was mostly due to the Internet.
“We didn’t naturally have any beef with each other, the Internet just naturally instigated everything. So we got it all out and it’s all good now.”
Rose said in the wake of the selfie controversy and her decision to defend the star, even inviting her to her SlutWalk, came because they both were given a hard time because of Rose’s past as a stripper and the sex tape of Kardashian that was leaked.
She drew a comparison with Beyonce in regard to sex appeal and talent, saying, “We don’t have the talent that Beyonce has, so we get criticized as former sex workers, but at the end of the day we’re just women- we’re all women- and we should all embrace each other.” After the interview, Rose clarified the mention of Beyonce on Twitter.
Rose pointed out that their past did not dictate who they were as businesswomen and the criticism “is stupid.”
