In the wake of the D’Angelo Russell video prank went wrong, he has been isolated by his Los Angeles Lakers teammates and now seems to be grasping the consequences of his actions.
As we reported, Russell secretly videotaped fellow Laker Nick Young talking about women other than his fiancée Iggy Azalea and that video found its way on the Internet last week.
The backlash for the rookie came from his teammates who will not speak to him as well as from Lakers fans who showered him with boos during Wednesday’s home game. Another repercussion Russell is facing is feeling that he may have jeopardized Young’s relationship with Azalea.
Russell told the Miami Herald that he believes he put their engagement at risk.
The 20-year-old has since apologized for the incident saying, "I am sorry about recording the video. I can’t repeat myself enough on that: I am sorry I recorded that video. I feel horrible. I wish this never happened."
