It’s almost unimaginable to think that one of the sexiest men alive has never been featured on the cover of the American edition of GQ magazine, but that is the case when it comes to David Beckham.

Thankfully, the mag made things right by getting the British hunk to pose for its April issue.

Beckham, 40, is featured wearing a suit on one cover and a leather jacket paired with a button down shirt on the other.

The retired soccer star got candid and spoke about his family life and the sport he loves.

“I get physically ill when I have to leave the kids now,” he revealed.

Beckham also explained that he misses soccer so much that he may have considered returning to the L.A. Galaxy if he still lived in California.

"I miss soccer every day,” he admitted. “I don’t know whether it’s the athlete in me, or the passion I have for the game: I always think that I can step back on the field and play.

“You know, maybe I could play another year in the U.S. If I was still living in L.A., I’d probably really seriously think about coming back for a year. But we’re living in London, and the kids are happy in the school.”
