CBS is looking to add another family sitcom to its roster and this one will star Jason Lee.

The former star of NBC’s My Name Is Earl has been cast in What Goes Around Comes Around, a comedy pilot about cool parents who now have to raise their teenages. Lee will play the dad, the owner of a music management company, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

The mom part has not been cast yet.

What Goes Around… will be written by Dan Kopelman, a veteran of Malcolm in the Middle and CBS’ Rules of Engagement, notes TheWrap. Aaron Kaplan (Mysteries of Laura) is an executive producer. The pilot is being made at Warner Bros. TV.

Lee earned two Golden Globe nominations for My Name Is Earl, which ran from 2005 to 2009. His other recent TV credits include Up All Night, Raising Hope and Memphis Beat. He also plays Dave in Fox’s Alvin and the Chipmunks movie franchise.
