John Goodman says he’ll never speak to Kristen Wiig again after party incident

Even though John Goodman is a fan of comedy star Kristen Wiig, the actor admitted that he doesn’t think he will ever speak to her again thanks to an incident at a party.

While on The Howard Stern Show to promote 10 Cloverfield Lane, the former Roseanne star said that he saw Wiig at a party once and really wanted to talk to her. Unfortunately, she was already in the middle of talking with someone else.

“I interrupted a conversation,” he said. “And she was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll talk to you in a minute.’”

As HitFix notes, he said this was embarrassing, especially since he likes her work.

“It was like the Atom. I shrunk down to Atom size. ...I really like her, and it was embarrassing, so I'll never speak to her again,” Goodman said.

Goodman, 63, can be seen in this weekend’s 10 Cloverfield Lane with Mary Elizabeth Winstead. He’s currently working on Kong: Skull Island with Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson.
