After spending months at a rehabilitation facility following a number of scandals, Josh Duggar has returned home to his family in Arkansas.

In a statement on the family’s website, the news about Josh said he had “completed his residential rehabilitation program. We are so thankful for everyone who worked with Josh in this program. It was a crucial first step in recovery and healing for Josh.”

The statement also said he would still receive counseling as he sought to rebuild the familial relationships he had. The family also thanked their followers for their support and asked for continued prayer.

As previously reported, Duggar entered rehab in August following the scandals that came after it was revealed he had molested five girls, including four of his sisters, in his youth. A couple of months later, it was revealed he had cheated on his wife, Anna, with whom he has four children.

People reported that his sister, Jessa Seewald, had said while she did forgive her brother, there was still a trust issue that needed to be resolved. His wife also made a statement about how difficult it had been over the past year and that visiting Josh while he was still in rehab was “an important step on a long difficult road.”

While 19 Kids and Counting was taken off air, a special focusing on Jessa Seewald and sister Jill Dillard aired ahead of their new show Counting On. The new show will air on TLC at 9 p.m. ET on March 15.
