Kacey Musgraves proved she can handle a cover that might be a little too "Crazy" for some other artists.

While performing at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas earlier this week, the Grammy winner covered a song that some might consider to be slightly out of her country-lite wheelhouse. On March 18, Entertainment Weekly posted a video to its Instagram account, showing the singer performing a countryfied version of Gnarls Barkely's 2006 hit "Crazy" - as well as explaining the occasion for such an unexpected musical mashup.

Indeed, as the post details, the cover was in honor of the fact that 10 years ago this month, the song - which would eventually go on to be nominated for several Grammys - was released.

This is not the first time that Musgraves has covered the song, however. There are multiple videos of her performing the song in concert earlier this earlier, during her recent tour.

The "Crazy" cover isn't the only time the country chanteuse, known for songs like the small-town musing "Merry Go Round," has tackled a different genre. According to Taste of Country, she was recently featured on R&B artist Miguel's remix of "Waves."
