Kelly Clarkson cannot conceal her respect and admiration for her husband, Brandon Blackstock, whose parenting and love for their daughter, River Rose, inspired Clarkson's song "Piece by Piece."

Clarkson, who's pregnant with their second child, did not hold back her emotions in a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest on Feb. 29. The singer revealed:

"Watching my husband love on his daughter all the time you know, go to her events and just be there and like be present is like hard to watch but beautiful to watch. I know that my kids are going to have that. Y'all are totally going to make me cry on this interview. I'm so glad you can't see me," E! Online reported.

Clarkson's song "Piece by Piece" tells of her strained relationship with a father that was not there for her and her husband, the one who showed her what it means to be a good man. This idea is seen in Clarkson's lyrics, "He never walks away. He never asks for money. He takes care of me. He loves me. Piece by piece he restored my faith that a man can be kind and a father could stay."

Clarkson performed the song on Feb. 25 on American Idol. She was plainly overcome with emotion, even making judge Keith Urban cry.

Despite Clarkson's fame, it is clear that family comes first to her.
