Khloé Kardashian has opened up about her late father and the impact the O.J. Simpson murder trial had on him, suggesting that the stress from the case is what really killed him.
The FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story has viewers tuning in every Tuesday evening reliving what was dubbed then as the “Trial of the Century.” It also features actor David Schwimmer portraying Robert Kardashian long before anyone knew who his daughters were. Now, Khloé is attributing the stress associated with the high-profile case to her father’s death.
She makes her claim during an episode of Kocktails With Khloé on Wednesday. The reality star said that during the time in which Robert defended the former Heisman Trophy winner, people keyed the word “guilty” on his car. She added that law enforcement officials were not happy with her family and they were even shunned from eating at certain restaurants.
"What I do respect is that [regardless of] what my dad did or didn’t know, my dad would never betray his friend’s trust,” Khloé explained. “He never spoke about it. My dad also died of throat cancer which does not run in my family. My dad doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink. I think holding in secrets [and] stress kills you! I feel like you manifest things, you have to think — I’m into symbolic situations."
As we previously reported, Khloé has said that she feels the series is doing a good job portraying her father.
