Larry Drake, an actor who won two Emmys for his role on L.A. Law, has died. He was 66 years old.

The news was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by his agent in a statement to People.

TMZ reports that Drake was suffering health problems related to his weight, although he was not diagnosed with anything terminal, as far as his representatives could tell the site. A friend found his body at his Hollywood home and called 911 around 1:30 p.m. on March 17.

“He was such a nice man and a great actor,” agent Mike Eisenstadt told People.

Drake won two Emmys in 1988 and 1989 for playing Benny Stulwicz on L.A. Law. The role earned him a third Emmy nomination and three Globe Nominations.

Drake’s other credits include the 1990 cult film Darkman, 1997’s Bean with Rowan Atkinson, American Pie 2, the animated series Johnny Bravo and an episode of 7th Heaven. He made his last appearance in a film in 2009’s Dead Air and had been working as an acting coach lately.

He is the most recent star of L.A. Law to pass away. Richard Dysart died in April 2015.
