On this week’s episode of Lucifer, he helps Chloe solve the murder of a security guard killed when a crate is stolen containing his most precious belongings.

A man removes a large crate from a warehouse, but he is stopped by a security guard. When the guard calls for help, the man strangles him from behind.

Chloe and Dan talk to Trixie about lying. She finally admits she ate the missing chocolate cake, but she says Lucifer told her if you really want to do something, you should. Dan tells Chloe to keep Lucifer away from Trixie. She reminds Dan about Taco Tuesday for Trixie, but he says he can’t make it because something came up at work that’s important.

The police find an imprint on the security guard’s neck, but can’t tell what it is. Lucifer arrives and Chloe fills him in that the warehouse is used to store illegal contraband. She says the security cameras were disabled.

Lucifer declares the case boring and leaves. When he gets back to Lux, Maze tells him that the stolen crate was his. He isn’t upset until Maze reminds him his reputation is on the line if he lets someone steal from him.

Lucifer goes back to the crime scene and tells Chloe he’s changed his mind. Chloe asks if his crate contained illegal contraband, but he won’t tell her. He says he has a lead.

Lucifer attacks the driver of a snow cone truck. Maze hired Frankie to hide the crate at that facility, so Lucifer thinks he’s involved. He says he wouldn’t steal from his own operation, but the biker gang Los Diablos runs the docks and would know if something went down.

Chloe asks Lucifer what’s in the crate. She’s upset he’s not being honest and tells him he’s off the case because of the conflict of interest.

Chloe calls Dan and asks him to look into Lucifer’s books. He approaches Maze at Lux. She tries to distract him by hitting on him, but he doesn’t go for it. When he heads for the office, she knocks him out from behind.

Dr. Martin questions Lucifer about his identity. He leaves in a huff. After he leaves, Amenadiel knocks on her door saying the walls are thin. She tells him about her patient using the identity of Lucifer as a metaphor. Amenadiel claims he had two years of seminary school and offers to help her with his knowledge of the Bible.

Dan wakes up naked in Chloe’s bed. He hides in Trixie’s room and hears Chloe tell her mother on the phone that she just wanted to see some effort from him when it came to family time. Trixie finds him in her room. He asks her to get him some clothes and not tell Chloe he’s there. She says it sounds like a lie. She asks for chocolate cake for a year.

Dan comes back to Lux wearing a pink track suit. Maze asks if he had sex with Chloe. He says no and asks why she cares. She wants Dan and Chloe to get back together so Chloe will be out of Lucifer’s life. Dan threatens to take her in for assault, but she reminds him he’d have to admit that a tiny female bartender overpowered him. He gathers his clothes and leaves.

Dan calls and tells Chloe that Lux’s books are clean. Lucifer has followed her to the Diablos’ biker bar. He apologizes. Chloe shows him the cross in the imprint on the security guard’s neck. It’s the same as the symbol on the Diablos’ bikes.

Inside, Lucifer hops on the bar. He asks who stole his crate. A man, Renny, steps forward and tries to punch him, but Chloe stops him and threatens to arrest anyone else who steps up. The leader of the gang, Cutter, invites Chloe and Lucifer to his office.

Cutter tells Lucifer that he wants to own a clothing line. He’s trying to rebrand the gang and go legit. He’s ordered the docks off limits. Chloe shows him the cross imprint. He says if she has any more questions, she can call his attorney.

Chloe and Lucifer leave. She tells him that Cutter knows who robbed the docks and will need to deal with it immediately in private. She plans to follow him.

Amenadiel convinces Dr. Martin to go deeper into Lucifer’s metaphor. He says he can help her, but Lucifer might not like what she has to say. She agrees if it will help Lucifer.

Cutter heads to a secluded area. Lucifer and Chloe wait in the car. She accuses him of being a criminal and admits that she had Dan check his books to no avail. She’s upset because she likes working with him. He says he’s never lied to her and that the container holds Russian dolls.

Renny approaches and shoots Cutter, then takes off on his bike. Chloe runs to help, but Lucifer steals her car. He chases Renny down on wheels, then on foot, until he traps him on the roof of a building. Renny says it wasn’t his idea to take the container. Chloe tracks her car. She comes out on the roof just in time to see Renny so scared of Lucifer that he jumps to his death.

Cutter survives and the police find Lucifer’s container. Chloe watches Lucifer open it to make sure he was honest with her. Inside she finds a trunk full of Russian dolls. After she leaves, Lucifer opens a back panel and realizes his true property–his wings–are missing.

Dan arrives for Taco Tuesday. He gives Trixie a piece of cake for after dinner.

Lucifer goes back to Dr. Martin, upset over his loss. She suggests that God cast him out of heaven because he needed him to do the most difficult job. Lucifer complains that he’s been vilified. She says he is God’s favorite son and can rise. He punches a hole in her wall and leaves.
