Mandy Moore celebrated a victory in court on March 9, when she was granted a restraining order against a man she said repeatedly stalked her and called himself “the Devil.”

TMZ reported that the actress was granted a three-year restraining order against Salahudin Moultaali.

The alleged stalker is accused of showing up at Moore’s home on multiple occasions and prior to his most-recent arrest had been leaving her notes in which he claimed that he is “Satan and the Devil.”

Moore said she feared for her personal safety.

“I am afraid for my safety and well-being,” the 31-year-old wrote in a declaration. “I have suffered, and continue to suffer, substantial emotional distress.”

That was enough for her to get an order prohibiting him from going within 100 yards of her. He was also ordered to stay away from the singer’s residence, anywhere she works and any automobile she drives.

The New York Daily News noted that authorities believe Moultaali is mentally ill and has a “delusional fixation on Satan, Hell, death and world chaos.”

He is also facing charges of trespassing, stalking and previously violating a temporary order Moore had out against him.
