Michael C. Hall and Morgan Macgregor quietly tie the knot at City Hall in New York City

Michael C. Hall quietly married book critic Morgan Macgregor in New York City on Monday, Feb. 29, after almost four years of dating.

There are little details surrounding the wedding, but it was definitely a low-key day because they exchanged vows at New York City Hall, the former Dexter star’s rep told E! News.

Their first public appearance was in 2012 at the Emmy Awards. Hall was previously married to Amy Spanger and, most recently, Jennifer Carpenter.

Hall and Carpenter, who played siblings on Showtime’s Dexter, finalized their divorce in 2011 after getting married in 2008, Us Weekly reports.

The same year their divorce was finalized, Carpenter told E! of Hall, “He is and always will be one of my best friends in the world. And just because the marriage ended doesn't mean the love isn't still there.”
