The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed cornerback Nolan Carroll on Tuesday.

According to NFL.com, the deal is for one year and has a base salary of $2.36 million and could be worth up to $3 million. Carroll had visited with the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins before deciding to stay with the Eagles. He is happy to be staying in Philadelphia.

"I would love to stay in Philly," Carroll said last month. "Coming here two years ago, I just fell in love with how the city is and how the fans are, how the organization is. Everybody is welcoming. Everybody loves each other. That’s something you don’t see in a lot of organizations and a lot of people."

Carroll was drafted by the Dolphins in 2010. He signed with the Eagles in 2014. Last year, he missed the final month of the season due to a broken fibula. He had 57 tackles, two interceptions and one touchdowns last season, according to Philly.com.

Carroll coming back means the Eagles have lots of depth at the cornerback position. The team also signed Leodis McKelvin and Ron Brooks last week and  have JaCorey Shepherd, Jaylen Watkins, Randall Evans, Denzel Rice and Aaron Grymes at the position.
