The midseason premiere of Once Upon a Time’s fifth season airs Sunday, March 6. The first half of the season dealt with Emma’s struggle to overcome the darkness to which she tethered herself. It also included a whirlwind of events in Camelot.
The opening scene depicted an evil, angry, bent on revenge Dark Swan. However, it became apparent later that this was mostly an act to keep everyone else from discovering her secret, her mistake (turning Hook into a Dark One as well).
It turns out that after Emma disappeared and Regina explained that she was sucked back to the Enchanted Forest, the gang set out to go after her. They come up with a plan to use the Apprentice’s wand to open a portal, but ended up using Zelena to do it.
