On this week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, Ali and Elliott's honeymoon plans take an unforeseen turn, Emily continues to question Mona, and Hanna and Caleb devise a plan to fool the PLLs' stalker.

Mona and Emily talk. Mona admits to calling Charlotte on the night of her murder and asking her to meet at The Two Crows Diner. Mona claims she waited for two hours, but Charlotte never showed. Emily remains skeptical of her, mentioning the near hit-and-run that took place when she investigated the diner, but Mona maintains her innocence. Emily says Mona hoped she could get to Charlotte, while Mona claims she wanted to know what Charlotte planned to do with her newfound freedom.

Cue opening theme.

Later, Emily, Spencer, and Aria discuss Mona’s confession in the Hastings’ barn. While Mona has set the bar for their suspect list very low, the girls decide to make Mona think they believe her. Spencer’s rationale is that they’ll be able to get more information out of Mona that way.

Lucas is back and running system diagnostics on the smart loft controller. Simultaneously, Hanna explains to Jordan why she must stay in Rosewood. When she hangs up, Lucas tells her he came back to check out property and will bring her a new smart loft controller to prevent any future glitches. Hanna thanks him by giving him a set of ties as a gift.

Ali and Elliott are honeymooning at a bed-and-breakfast. They plan to spend the day reading by the lake, but their plans go awry when Ali falls down the stairs and is knocked unconscious. Elliott takes Ali to the hospital, where it’s revealed that she has a concussion and must stay overnight for observation. Ali’s worried that the universe is punishing her for being alive and happy, though Elliott tries to reassure her what happened was just an accident.

At The Brew, the PLLs look over a photo Ali sent them from the hospital and wonder if her injury was truly the result of an accident. At the same time, they vow to keep a close watch on Mona since she's the person with the most motive for wanting to kill Charlotte thus far. Hanna also mentions going to see Ali and Spencer says it might be good to persuade her to stay away from Rosewood until after the election.

Ezra takes a phone call when Aria shows. He informs her that her boss, Jillian, wants to buy them dinner at the Radley and go over their progress on the book so far. In addition, Ezra says he wants Aria to review a recent passage they wrote together because he doesn’t think it’s working within the rest of the story.

Hanna visits Ali and Ali says that she’ll be back in Rosewood the next day. Elliott got a call to serve on a panel at a conference in Chicago, meaning Ali will be home alone. Hanna’s worried about Ali being alone, though Ali claims she doesn’t mind. Hanna also notices several bouquets of flowers near Ali’s bedside. Ali says they’re from Elliott, but when Hanna takes a closer look, she notices a threatening card in one of the bouquets. She silently hides it in her purse shortly after Elliott returns.

Spencer takes a video call from Emily. She’s spotted Mona with Sara’s driver from Charlotte’s funeral. Later, Spencer meets up with Emily. Mona’s gone, but Sara’s driver went into City Hall. A beat later, he emerges carrying something in a tube.

Elliott thanks Hanna for visiting Ali and Hanna asks him if the hospital staff is doing a good job of checking on her. Elliott reassures Hanna that he's gotten Ali the best care possible.

Spencer and Emily follow Sara’s driver. He puts change in a nearby parking meter, then disappears. Emily leaves to get her car, and when she returns, Sara’s driver exits a hardware store. Emily and Spencer parked in front of his car and claim they hit it while Spencer steals the tube and looks inside it. She finds a bunch of Radley papers. Following their encounter with the driver, Spencer decides to go to City Hall to see if she can get copies of the Radley papers, while Emily agrees to keep following him.

Aria reads over Ezra’s work in his apartment. The passage details a fight he had with Nicole that he tweaked to sound better. He wonders if he should re-write the fight as it actually happened or leave it as is. Aria says they need to do what will make for the best story.

Emily continues to follow Sara’s driver. She spots him buying ice cream from a nearby truck, then handing over the tube to a driver in a silver car. When the car speeds past Emily, she spots Sara and ducks down to hide from her.

Hanna shows Caleb the card from Ali’s bouquet. She wants Caleb’s help in calling their stalker’s bluff before sharing the information with her friends.

Spencer walks into the Hastings’ barn while on the phone with Emily, hanging up when she spots Hanna and Caleb there. Hanna shares that Ali's concussion wasn't an accident. Spencer tells them that Sara is back, having checked into the Radley under a fake name. Hanna gives Spencer a detailed description of how she "killed" Charlotte. Spencer is shocked, until Hanna divulges her and Caleb’s plans to end the game and provide their stalker with Charlotte’s killer’s identity.

Jillian treats Aria and Ezra to dinner at the Radley and asks them how they’re doing with the book. She also tells them she’ll need to see a manuscript soon.

Emily doesn’t agree with Hanna and Caleb’s plans to outsmart the girls’ stalker, while Spencer is glad they thought of something. Emily thinks their stalker will force Hanna to turn herself into Lieutenant Tanner, but Caleb reminds her their stalker wants revenge, not justice. Spencer says if they don’t support the plan, Caleb and Hanna will go through with it anyway. Caleb is also good to start working on his end of the deal, he just needs to talk to Toby first.

Later, Emily and Spencer discuss their reservations in private and Spencer says she can’t come between Hanna and Caleb or their plan. Spencer says they created the plan knowing the risks involved.

Jillian and Ezra talk some last minute stylistic choices before she asks Aria to walk her to the elevator. From now on, Aria will be communicating directly with Jillian's office, not Liam, as Liam expressed a desire for some distance. It’s then that Jillian reveals she knows that Aria and Liam were an item and asks her to keep things in perspective until after the book has been published; Jillian doesn’t need anything derailing her operation. Simultaneously, Emily calls Aria and asks her to tell Ezra about the PLLs’ new stalker. Emily says Hanna’s come up with a plan she wants to implement.

Back at the Hastings’ barn, Spencer dries wine glasses and reminisces about the time she ran into Caleb in Madrid.

Caleb takes Hanna back to Lucas’ apartment, before heading out to work on his part of their plan. Simultaneously, Lucas brings Hanna the new smart loft controller and shows her a new piece of property he plays on buying. Lucas offers to give the building to Hanna, and when he asks her what she’d do with it, she mentions starting her own brand. Hanna isn’t sure she can take his offer, so Lucas agrees to let her consult with Jordan before making any final deals.

Ali sleeps in the hospital and dreams of her mother. Mrs. DiLaurentis is happy that Ali has finally found someone who will love and protect her.

Mona runs into Sara while walking to her car. She mentions seeing Sara’s driver and asking her to leave the PLLs alone. Mona says no one blames Sara for what she did when Charlotte was controlling her, but now is different. Sara retorts, telling Mona she played the PLLs for too long and because of that, they’ll never fully trust her.

Aria and Ezra sit inside The Brew. Ezra seems to know something’s off and asks Aria what she and Jillian talked about. Aria says Jillian’s not to blame before confessing that a new stalker is taunting her and the girls and that her getting burned at Hanna’s bridal shower wasn’t an accident. Meanwhile, from afar, someone appears to be watching them.

Elliott returns to Ali’s hospital room just as she wakes up. All her tests are clear, so she can go home in the morning. Elliott also says he’s going to cancel Chicago, but Ali encourages him to go; they’ll celebrate when he gets back. Initially, Elliott appears to be confused, but then Ali explains the dream she had about her mother. Happy that is his new wife is happy, too, Elliott leans in for a kiss.

The PLLs, Ezra, and Caleb meet up in Lucas’ apartment to discuss Hanna and Caleb’s plan. Caleb reminds everyone that they won’t be voting on it; he and Hanna are going through with the plan, regardless of whether or not the others support it. Spencer steps in and says the group won’t let Hanna and Caleb carry out the plan alone, before Hanna makes initial contact and sends a voice text to the girls’ stalker: “Leave my friends alone. I killed Charlotte.”

Hanna’s text gets coded in a series of 1s and 0s before reaching its intended recipient. The PLLs’ stalker looks at Veronica’s campaign material on a laptop, just as the text arrives.

End of episode.
