Rose McGowan is being sued by 85-year-old Elna Ebner, who claims she was left brain damaged after being attacked by the actress’ dog Mrs. Noodles.
McGowan is a defendant in the lawsuit but Ebner is mostly suing McGowan’s insurance company for millions of dollars.
Ebner said in the lawsuit that Noodles stood up and rested her paws on her, causing her to fall down on the pavement and hit her head. She claims in the documents that she cracked her skull during the fall and now has to be cared for 24 hours a day.
In a statement, McGowan, who filed for divorce from her husband last month, said her dog walker was walking Noodles when she stopped to talk to Ebner and the “unfortunate sequence of events” happened.
"My sweet as pie foster dog, Mrs. Noodle, a large but terribly gentle mixed breed, put her paws on the knees of a woman that stands 4'7,’” McGowan told TMZ, adding Ebner was “standing on the hill's 65% incline.”
“Do I wish this tiny elderly woman hadn't stopped to talk to my foster dog? Yes. Did it happen? Yes. Am I responsible? No."
