We’ve all watched Wheel of Fortune before and wondered how some contestants just can't figure out the puzzles and maybe we even thought that we would do a better job. Well, one man’s performance on the game show has recently gone viral, as it showed that he could put just about anyone to shame.
KGO-TV noted that Robert Santoli of New York appeared on the show and his fellow contestants never stood a chance. The 23-year-old laid down the gauntlet by solving puzzles with only one letter.
Santoli recalled host Pat Sajak speaking to him during a commercial break and saying, "That was great, Robert, but now we have to let someone else play, okay?"
Santoli apologized to the other contestants for jumping so far ahead during the first few rounds. He ultimately solved every puzzle but one, made it to the bonus round and took home $76,000.
The IT assistant attributes his success to the fact that he did his homework and really studied certain terms once he learned that the show’s theme was nautical.
He plans on paying off his college loans and purchasing a new car with his winnings.
