On Sunday, April 3, the 51st annual Academy of Country Music Awards aired live from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, celebrating the year's country artists from Dierks Bentley to Miranda Lambert and to new artists such as Thomas Rhett.
From a hilarious opening that featured Blake Shelton to the unforgettable duet between Dolly Parton and Katy Perry, the awards featured an eclectic group of performers, making it seem more like a concert than an awards ceremony.
Chris Stapleton won big with six awards, including Album of the Year, while Jason Aldean was honored as Entertainer of the Year. New Female Vocalist winner Kelsea Ballerini performed "Peter Pan" before she got to sing with childhood crush singer Nick Jonas.
In addition to the winners and performances, the show also included a tribute to singer Joey Feek, who died last month after a brave battle with cancer. It was a beautiful memorial, though brief, before the award was given to Best Vocal Group of the Year.
