Amanda Knox’s ex-boyfriend and Raffaele Sollecito who, along with her, was found guilty and later acquitted of killing British Student Meredith Kercher has gotten a new gig as a murder expert for a crime show.

Almost a decade after the brutal slaying, NBC News noted that Raffaele Sollecito is being called upon by an Italian television series to offer his expertise on unsolved crimes.

The Daily Mail noted that Sollecito, 32, made his first appearance as a guest criminologist on the show Mystery of the Week on April 2.

He believes he is the perfect person for the job because, as he explained, "The usual experts on these shows have seen these things through a window — I have lived them."

He and Knox were both accused of killing Kercher in 2007. The former lovers were convicted and spent nearly four years in prison, but were released and tried again for the crime. They were ultimately cleared of murder last March. After the verdict, Sollecito said he felt “relieved.”
