Actress Drew Barrymore and art consultant Will Kopelman are planning to divorce after four years of marriage.
According to Page Six, a source said that while the couple have been going through difficult times, "they remain close for the sake of their kids." They have two daughters, Olive, 3, and Frankie, 1.
The announcement came just a day after Barrymore posted on Instagram about getting a tattoo on her wrist featuring her daughters' names.
Barrymore's troubled childhood has been well documented and a source pointed out that while the actress has become "a different person," parts of her former self could still be present even now. This could have been partly what affected her previous marriages. She had previously revealed how the lack of parental figures in her life shaped how she planned to raise her daughters.
Her first marriage was in 1994 to a bartender named Jeremy Thomas, which lasted for two months when she was 19 years old. In 2001, she was married to comedian Tom Green, which lasted five months.
After this latest announcement came, Barrymore was spotted at the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival in Carmel, California, looking very happy, according to Us Magazine. She was promoting her wine collection, Barrymore Wines, in collaboration with Carmel Roads. The actress was pouring wines for fans, grinning and smiling while posing for pictures with them.
