According to TMZ, Empire co-stars Trai Byers and Grace Gealey got married in a private ceremony on Thursday, April 15. The couple said “I Do” in front of 50 guests at a mansion on Grand Cayman Island.
The couple got engaged last summer when Byers popped the question at a surprise party for Gealey in Chicago.
The actress confirmed that the two were married Sunday via Instagram and thanked fans for their support.
“We're married! God is so good. To all who have extended congrats and well wishes, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love, Mr. & Mrs. Byers,” she captioned a picture with her new husband and included a heart emoji.
It is unclear if any of Byers and Gealey's Empire co-stars attended their nuptials.
Byers portrays Andre Lyon and Gealey plays Anika Calhoun, known as “Boo Boo Kitty,” in the hit FOX drama that is currently airing its second season.
