Samantha Bee is here to stay.
According to The Wrap, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee will air through the rest of 2016. TBS picked up the weekly late-night talk show for an additional 26 episodes.
Bee, who stars and serves as an executive producer, made a name for herself as correspondent on The Daily Show. She left the show right before host Jon Steward did. Earlier this year, Bee opened up about being puzzled over the lack of female late-night shows.
The comedian expressed her excitement about the pickup news in a statement.
“Stay crazy America, I’ll be here all year!” Bee said.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, which averages 3.7 million views per episode, also has a big presence online. Executive Vice President of Original Programming for TBS, Brett Weitz, praised Bee for her work with the network.
“Sam has positioned herself as an essential voice in late night, and it’s pretty clear she’s struck a nerve and filled a void,” Weitz said.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee airs Mondays at 10:30 p.m. on TBS.
