David Bowie’s widow, Iman, is dealing with more heartbreak. Just two months after losing her husband, her mother passed away on March 31.
The supermodel confirmed her mother, Marian Abdulmajid’s death and paid tribute to her on Friday via social media.
Iman wrote, “Saddened by the death of my mom Maryan Baadi. May Allah grant her the highest jennah.”
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Abdulmajid posing with her daughter and Bowie at the couple’s wedding.
The passing of Iman’s mother comes after Bowie lost his battle with cancer on Jan. 10.
There is no word yet on how Abdulmajid died.
