The first half of the iZombie season finale left us questioning what Liv and company could do for the zombies trapped in Max Rager’s basement. In the second half, they have a mission to crash a Max Rager party and save their fellow brain eaters.
Liv asks Major to eat Janko’s brain, so they can get the zombies out of Vaughn’s basement.
Clive leaves messages for Bozzio to explain things. He misses her.
Mr. Boss’s assistants inform him that Don E & Chief have taken over Blaine’s business. He wants them dead.
Peyton is upset because the mayor shut down the Mr. Boss task force. Ravi tries to comfort her and they end up moving things to the bedroom.
Don E sends Chief up to give Blaine a hand with dinner. Chief is shot in the head and falls down the stairs. Mr. Boss’ thugs threaten Don E who tells them Blaine is still alive. Blaine comes in the door, then runs. Don E nags Kenny into shooting him in the chest instead of the head. Mr. Boss asks Kenny to kill Blaine and bring him his head.
Major heard that Max Rager is having a prison themed party that night. At 10 p.m. the party will be on lock-down – no one allowed in or out.
Major and Liv need a way to access the basement. Major suggests cutting off Janko’s hand and bringing it along. Clive and Ravi find it a distasteful idea. Major suggests getting Dr. Wyatt to let him in. He seems sympathetic to the zombie cause. Clive says he can’t help because of the plan’s illegal aspects.
Dr. Wyatt finds Utopium from the boat party massacre in the basement of Max Rager. He steals it to take at the party later.
Vaughn tells Rita that he will now focus on finding a cure. He’s using the kidnapped zombies as guinea pigs. Rita hasn’t forgiven him for closing the elevator door on her.
The cure versions Max Rager has tried have turned the trial subjects into Romero zombies. A lab assistant asks for a volunteer for the next batch. Drake steps forward to save the rest of the group.
Major and Liv pose as waiters in SWAT uniforms. Lock-down starts in three minutes. They can’t find Wyatt.
Clive doesn’t hear from Liv. He decides to help. The guard at the gate refuses to let him in until Rob Thomas shows up late. Clive slips in with the band.
Ravi comes home to Blaine in his kitchen. Ravi wants to throw Blaine out, but Peyton is afraid if he dies, they won’t know who his brain customers are. Blaine leaves a note and goes out looking for food.
Viv from the military contractor asks Vaughn why he has so much security at the party.
Mr. Boss’ guys pistol whip Ravi and kidnap Peyton. They want Blaine.
Wyatt and his friends do Utopium in the stairwell then drink SuperMax, immediately turning them into crazed zombies.
Vaughn notices Clive going after Liv and Major in the stairwell. He follows him and orders security to throw the three of them in cells in the basement as zombie food. He leaves the platform and Wyatt attacks the security team. Liv, Clive and Major run.
Crazed zombies get into the party upstairs. People try to escape through the gates, but they’re locked.
Clive gives Liv a gun. Major grabs a fire axe. Liv warns Clive that the zombies will be after his brain. They go upstairs to the party room, but everyone is dead.
Blaine finds Ravi on the floor. He tells Blaine that Mr. Boss took Peyton as bait. Blaine asks why and Ravi says they were once involved.
Major finds another doctor from the basement and in a gruesome move, chops off his hand for the elevator. A group of zombies run into the room. They take out as many as they can, then retreat into a locked room.
Blaine and Ravi go to the funeral home for guns. Blaine also takes a pair of night vision goggles.
A zombie breaks into the locked party room through a ceiling panel. Clive says he’s saving a bullet for himself so he doesn’t get eaten alive. Liv offers to scratch him to make him invulnerable.
Blaine and Ravi track the thugs back to Mr. Boss’ headquarters. Blaine says he’s going to scout around back to see if there’s another way in. He leaves Ravi in the car.
Ravi sees the lights in the office go out. Gunshots are fired. Peyton hides. Ravi jumps out of the car. Kenny uses Peyton as a hostage. Blaine shoots him. Ravi comes in to find Blaine hugging Peyton.
Liv uses up her rounds on zombies. They’re saved by Viv with an automatic weapon. Liv says there’s more survivors in the basement. Viv gives them guns and says she’s going to the gate for reinforcements.
Liv uses the hand on the elevator scanner. It works. They find Rita. She tells Major she can access the control panel to open the door to the other zombies. Major lets her out to do so. Liv and Clive pass through, but Vaughn closes the door before Major and Rita can too.
Liv and Clive find the Chaos victims, but Drake isn’t with them. He’s a Romero zombie in an adjacent cell.
Vaughn lets Drake loose. He attacks Clive, and Liv is forced to shoot him. She gets the other victims loose.
Vaughn releases zombies on Major. When they don’t attack, Vaughn realizes Major is undead. Vaughn lets gas into the room to deanimate Major and Rita.
Major shoots Vaughn’s hand through the glass. Vaughn runs to the elevator, but his bloody hand won’t operate it. Major bursts through the door then climbs through the hatch up top. He lets the deanimated zombies in to kill Vaughn.
Liv and Clive lock the survivors in Vaughn’s office for safety. They find the elevator full of dead zombies and Rita eating her father’s brain. In a heartbeat, she dives for Liv and Major drops from the hatch and shoots her.
Major looks for Natalie. A survivor tells him a guard led her away and she never came back.
Viv’s men arrive to round up the survivors. Liv says she’ll go talk to her. When Liv finds her, she’s eating Rob Thomas. Viv says Seattle will become the new zombie homeland and asks if Liv is with them.
