Actor Jim Carrey gave a $225 tip to a waitress in New York City.
The Dumb and Dumber actor was dining at the Chester restaurant, located in the Meatpacking District at the Gansevoort Hotel, according to Inquisitr.
The restaurant is known to be a "vibrant bar" with a "lively dining area," serving "traditional American food," as seen from the website.
Carrey and some friends ordered sparkling water, pinot noir, lemon chicken and a quinoa dish, reported Page Six.
“Everyone seemed to be in a good mood,” said a source. The meal was $151.
Not only did Carrey spend some time in the Meatpacking District, but he also spent some time with Jerry Lewis at the Friars Club, celebrating Lewis' 90th birthday, reported Inquisitr.
This is not the first time a celebrity has spent lots of money on a tip. Kim Kardashian West left a $300 tip when she ate at Brennan's restaurant in New Orleans. Her meal total came to $200, noted MSN. Amy Schumer left a $500 tip at Peter's Clam Bar in Long Island, New York. Her meal was $49.
