Legendary WWE wrestler Chyna has died. She was 45.

Several media outlets including TMZ, have reported that Chyna was found unresponsive in her Redondo Beach, California home on April 20, after a friend went to the professional wrestler’s residence to check on her. The media outlet is also reporting that Chyna had not been heard from for days and that authorities are investigating her death as a “possible drug overdose,” however, the official cause is not yet known.

Chyna, whose real name was Joan Marie Laurer, rose to fame as a wrestler for the organization that was then known as WWF. In 1999, she became the first female wrestler to compete in the Royal Rumble event and later the first woman to participate in the King of The Ring tournament. She and WWE parted ways in 2001 and she quit wresting altogether in 2011.

Upon hearing the news of her death Stephanie McMahon tweeted, “I just heard the tragic news that @ChynaJoanLaurer has passed. She was truly a pioneer in our industry, and she will be missed. #RIPChyna.”
