Sometimes it can be a good thing to look just like a celebrity but other times, depending on who that star is, it can be a bad thing. Well for one New York man who looks like Shia LaBeouf, file that under bad.
Over the weekend, Mario Licato said he was punched in face by a man in the subway just because he looks like the actor.
The alleged sucker punch happened on the New York subway stairs at the corner of Essex and Delancey streets on April 23.
“I just saw a fist coming at my face,” Licato said of the incident. “And the next thing I know I was, like, falling down the stairs and all I heard was, 'That's because you look exactly like Shia LaBeouf.'”
The hit left the 26-year-old’s face covered in blood and his glasses broken. He is now nursing a black eye and posted a photo of his injury on Instagram.
Police are combing through surveillance footage in hopes of identifying and apprehending the suspect.
