Match Game is set to return this summer to ABC Primetime and the host of this game show will be actor Alec Baldwin.
In a press release from ABC, the show was described as a panel game show in which contestants had to figure out the answers to statements made from six celebrities using fill-in-the-blanks. In addition to hosting, Baldwin will also be a co-executive producer with FremantleMedia North America’s Jennifer Mullin.
Premiering on Sunday, June 26, the show will air for 10 episodes and will join other Sunday game shows including Celebrity Family Feud and The 100,000 Pyramid.” Those shows are hosted by Steve Harvey and Michael Strahan respectively.
Baldwin said in a statement, “I am beyond grateful to ABC and FremantleMedia for the chance to host a summer series of the legendary Match Game.” Not only is he hosting, but Baldwin is also set to donate the fee from his appearance to his charity, the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation.
He said he and his wife were “thrilled to donate this fee to arts related charities.”
