It has been nearly three years since Paul Walker’s death and actress Michelle Rodriguez has opened up about the grief she went through losing her Fast and Furious co-star and friend.

Rodriguez was featured in a documentary called Reality of Truth and in it, she talked about what else brewed her feelings upon Walker’s death after a fiery car crash in 2013.

TMZ posted a clip in which she mentioned how she lived through “a year of just being like an animal” as she tried to escape the reality that life was so fragile and transient, wanting to get her mind away from it.

She admitted that the summer after he died, she went “crazy, nuts, berserk-o.”

According to the film’s website, Rodriguez joined the documentary, with host Mike “Zappy” Zaplin, to explore the idea of “the relationship between spirituality, religion and psychedelics.”

In Peru, Rodriguez tried a psychedelic plant known as ayahuasca, which caused “the destruction of everything I’ve ever known.”

She said that after going through that, it made her realize how sad she had become since Paul “left me here” and she felt jealous that he left before she did.

Eventually, Rodriguez realized she needed to live her life so she could honor the late actor.
